Obituary

Jimmie Cleve Lamb, 69, passed away on February 18, 2014 at the Hutchinson Care Center, Hutchinson, Kansas. He was born in Hutchinson on October 11, 1944, the son of Roy Cleve and Mildred May Lamb.

A tree trimmer by trade, he also proudly served in the United States Navy. In his spare time he built model ships and cars, made jewelry, and, was very handy at craftwork. He was a true lover of Mozart, Beethoven, and all other classical music.

He is survived by a son, Jimmie Cleve Lamb Jr. and his companion Megan Tibke of Phillipsburg, Kansas; 2 daughters, Merina Michelle Lamb and her companion Dale Sterling of Hutchinson Kansas, Jimmy Louise (Missy) Parker and her husband (John) of North Dakota; a brother, Tim Lamb; 3 sisters, Sharon Kay Murphy, Twila Wycoff, and, Charlotte Bennett; grandchildren Diona Allen, Lena Hunsinger, Sam Hunsginer, Layla Frank, Candiace Pelkey, Stephani Pelkey, Jessica Smith, Gabriel Matthew Lamb, Grant Cleve Lamb, Gavin Timothy Ray Lamb, Quinnyen Own Lamb, Lakelynn Rose Tibke-Lamb; great-grandchildren, Karmen, timothy, Lily Allen, Brooke Pelkey, and, Angel Bair. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, and a great-granddaughter, Brianna Allen Parker.

Cremation has taken place. A time of visitation and celebration will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2014 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Old Mission - Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that gifts be made to Hospice House of Reno County and left in care of the funeral home.
