Joan Dawn Hoskinson, 78, went home to her Lord on January 6, 2019 at Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on April 9, 1040, the daughter of Marvin and Armetha Hoskinson. She was a retired packaging specialist for Leech Products of Hutchinson, Kansas.

She was a dedicated mother and grandmother that also loved spending time outdoors fishing and camping. She was a phenomenal cook and holidays were always such an important part of her life.

She married Hugh N. Bass in 1957 in Hutchinson, Kansas and they later divorced.

Survivors include 2 sons, Samuel T. (Taylor) Bass, Marvin (Lona) Bass; 1 daughter, Jeanne Bass, all of Hutchinson, Kansas; 3 brothers, David (Betty), Bruce (Debbie), both of Hutchinson, Kansas, Randy (Peggy) in California; Janice Magby, Cheryl  (Marvin) Nelson, Stella Pina, Rochelle Hoskinson, all of Hutchinson, Kansas; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, Rosiland Hoskinson and Lynn Hoskinson, 1 son, Scott Bass.

A gathering for friends and family will be held Friday, January 11, 2019 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Hospice House of Reno County and left in care of the funeral home.
