John Otis Filbert, born May 26, 1944, to Peter and Betty (Neuenswander) Filbert in Sheridan, Wyoming. He passed July 4th, 2024 in Hutchinson, Kansas.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Betty, his step father, Oscar Cooper, and brothers, David and Gregory Filbert.

He is survived by his daughter, Jeaneice (Dallas) Looney of Holyrood, KS, brother, Ron Filbert of Gillette, WY, grandchildren Ashely Hoover, Amber (Corey) Dabney, Anthony Hollis, Kaydon Looney, great grandchildren, Westin Hoover, Madisyn Hoover, Audrey Dabney, and his fur grandson, Max.

Cremation has taken place. There will be a private graveside service where he will be laid to rest at Sheridan Municipal Cemetery in Sheridan, Wyoming.
