John Robert Peirson, 52, of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, passed away December 2, 2020 in South Hutchinson, Kansas.  The son of Jack and Mary Jane Peirson, he was born in Medicine Lodge, Kansas on June 15, 1968.  He was an independent truck driver.

A graduate of Medicine Lodge High School, he was an avid gun collector and loved participating in firearm shooting competitions.  A veteran of the United States Navy, he was a proud member of the Legion Riders of Medicine Lodge, and also belonged to the Medicine Lodge VFW.

Survivors include: his mother, Mary; 1 sister Margaret ( Mike) Peirson-Bloomer, all of Topeka, Kansas; 2 nephews, Chase Peirson and Chance Bloomer both of Topeka, Kansas; 1 niece, Ashlee Brooks of Eufaula, Oklahoma; John's children, 2 daughters, Jessica Sanders of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, Tricia ( Brian) Wegner of Overland Park, Kansas; 1 son, Robert (Crystal) Heffington of Medicine Lodge, Kansas; 5 grandsons and 1 granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his father, paternal and maternal grandparents.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date due to the COVID 19 restrictions.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Barber County Legion Riders Association or to the Medicine Lodge VFW.
