John Russell Swader 87, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2021 in his own bed with a cold beer in his hand and his best puppy, Rusty, by his side.  He and his family are forever grateful for the loving care he received at Leisure Homestead in Stafford and the Stafford County Hospital for the past five years.

John sincerely enjoyed visits with Denise Dickson, local librarian, discussing and writing reviews on books as well as good friend, Nicole and Remington Smith and their children.

John was preceded in death by his father, John Swader and mother, Vera May (Russell) Swader of Great Bend, Kansas, and Lena Faye ( Pershica) Swader, mother of John's children and his wife, Judy Lynn (Askew) Swader.

Succeeding and surviving John are his children; Cynthia Jean ( David) Howells, Stephen Joe ( Kay) Swader, John Fred ( Lilly Sell) Swader and Sally Kathleen ( Bob) Roed, as well as 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Rest in Peace Daddy.  We love you.
