Obituary

Judy Kay Cox, 68, earned her heavenly wings June 8, 2018 at Mennonite Friendship Community in South Hutchinson, Kansas. The daughter of Richard and Ada Fern Hogg, she was born in Lyons, Kansas on May 29, 1950. She was a retired hydraulics specialist.
A member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, she was a marathon enthusiast having run in 22 marathons and 65 half marathons. Her favorite marathon was the annual Chicago Marathon. She collected bells of all sizes; enjoyed taking care of people's houses, but, her main goal was loving and taking care of her family.
On September 8, 1990 she married Henry Cox in Hutchinson, Kansas. He survives.
Other survivors include 1 daughter, Tanya Cox of Hutchinson, Kansas; 3 brothers, Terry Hogg of Wichita, Kansas, Jerry Hogg of Lyons, Kansas, Mickey Hogg of Lyons, Kansas; 2 grandchildren, Taniyah Cox and Drake Cox. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers, Richard and Bobby Hogg.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, June 15, 2018 at 7:00 pm at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1028 E. 16 th , Hutchinson, Kansas. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Reno County and left in care of the funeral home.
