Katie Mikel Kolin, 24, of Youngstown, Ohio, passed away January 28, 2021.  Katie was a devoted mother.  She had a thirst for knowledge and was scheduled to complete her bachelor's degree in April in Criminal Justice from Colorado Technical University.  She looked forward to singing karaoke whenever she could.  She loved animals, shooting sports and being outdoors.

She is survived by her husband, Adam Kolin of Leavenworth, Ks; step-son Glenn Kolin II; mother, Samantha McAllister of Hutchinson, Kansas; brothers, Alex New of Youngstown, Ohio, Michael McAllister and Noah McAllister both of Hutchinson, Kansas; sisters, Felicia New, Lauralee Bugg, Blaize Clark, and Maya Mendoza, all of Hutchinson, Kansas; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Ralph New.

There is a candlelight scheduled for April 3, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at Rice Park in Hutchinson, Kansas.  The family will be asking for everyone to wear a mask and practice safe social distancing.
