L. Robert Lacey, 75, passed away September 19, 2013 at Hospice House of Reno County. He was born April 18, 1938 in Caldwell, Kansas, the son of Everett and Dora Lacey. He was a retired district 5 shop supervisor for the Kansas Department of Transportation.

After graduating from Caldwell High School in 1956 he attended Emporia State Teachers College. He was a member of the Men''s Fellowship at First Congregational Church of Hutchinson, enjoyed camping, assisting his family with farming, and, taking time to build woodworking projects for his family.

On July 31, 1960 he married the love of his life, Sharon Lee Pratt in Kansas City, Ks she survives. Other survivors include a son Robert Alan Lacey (Shannon) of McPherson, Ks; 2 daughters, Robin Krehbiel (Terry) of Pretty Prairie, Ks, and, Sherri Green (Mike) of Clay Center, Ks; 3 brothers, 2 sisters; 7 grandchildren and 1 soon to be great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, and, a brother.

There will be no public visitation as cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Monday, September 23, 2013 at 10:30am at First Congregational Church with Pastor Matthew Stafford presiding. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Scholarship Fund of First Congregational Church of Hutchinson.
