La Vada Jean Nyborg, 88, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away on April 28, 2021 at Wesley Woodlawn Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.  She was born on March 3, 1933 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Floyd and Marie ( Rolfsmeyer ) Carter.

La Vada graduated from Whittier High School, Whittier, California in 1951.  She graduated from Adela Hale Business College in Hutchinson, Kansas in 1955.

On July 8, 1960, La Vada married Lee Roy Nyborg in Hutchinson, Kansas and they shared 60 years together.

La Vada was devoted to her faith.  She volunteered for many years at South Hutchinson Elementary school where she enjoyed helping the students.  She loved playing " Granny Tag" with her great grandchildren, Rylee, Ryder, Paisley, Addi and Kaden on Sundays at family dinner.

La Vada is survived by her son, Craig ( Shirley) Nyborg, 6 grandchildren, 15 great- grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee and daughter, Sheila.

Cremation has taken place and a come and go service will be from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home, 528 North Main Street, Hutchinson, Kansas, with the family present from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
