Hutchinson - Larry Allen Burnett, 64, of Hutchinson, died March 6, 2012, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. Larry was born July 14, 1947, in Raveena, Ohio, to Lennis H. and Frances K. Gregory Burnett.

Larry was active in many organizations including: Prairie Independent Living Resources as a board member for four years and president for two years; Statewide Independent Living Council of Kansas for six years; City of Hutchinson human relations council; Veterans of Foreign Wars; American Legion; ADA Board of Hutchinson; State of Kansas rehab board; chairman of the board for transportation representative for Kansas and 3rd District Representative for Kansas NAHRO.

He is survived by sons, Larry A. Jr. (Latonia), Edwin Bailey, and Jerry (Sarah); daughter, Melanie Burnett-Wilson (Billy); brothers, Jim and Ray; sisters Debbie Swigart and Kathy Dominy; fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and one sister.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the family present. Funeral services are scheduled Friday, March 9, at South Hutchinson Mennonite Church at 10:00 am with Military Honors at Fairlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to Kansas ADAPT in care of the funeral home.
