ARLINGTON - Jerry Lee Lauxman, 71, passed away in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family Sept. 10, 2016, in Arlington. The son of Aaron and Hazel Lauxman, he was born June 3, 1945 in Salina.
A retired employee of the ALCO store in Kingman, he spent as much time as he possibly could in the outdoors with his family, fishing and camping at Kingman Lake. He loved listening to traditional country and western music, and, was a member of South Hutchinson Methodist Church.
He married Carol Lee Anderson Nov. 22, 1997, in Cunningham. She survives. Other survivors include three sons, Jerry Lee Jr., Dustin and Gary; a daughter, Tracy; two half sisters, Nancy and Bonnie; six grandchildren; two nephews; and a niece. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry.
Per his request, cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family has established the Jerry Lee Lauxman Family Fund, in care of Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
