Leo Lopez, Jr., 66, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2021 at Hutchinson Health and Rehabilitation, Hutchinson, Kansas.  He was born in Dodge City, Kansas, on November 24, 1954, the son of Leo and Edna Lopez.  He graduated from Dodge City High School and began his career path to become a commercial chiller technician for 40 years before he retired.  Leo was a Mopar muscle car enthusiast, and enjoyed his many years with his Bichon Frise pups Jack, Archie, and Jimmy.

Survivors include: his wife, Renee Lopez of Dodge City, Kansas; sister, Ren Mooneyham of Tennessee; brother-in-law, Glendon ( Hilda) Reed of West Virginia; daughter, Jennelle ( Eric) Estes of Pratt, Kansas; son, Jonathan ( Nelsita) Lopez of Maryland; grandchildren, Emily and Nathan Estes of Pratt, Kansas, Zoey and Zara Lopez of Maryland, and Zachary Lopez of Dodge City, Kansas.

Leo was preceded in death by his mother, Edna K. McGavitt of Dodge City, Kansas, and his father, Leo H. Lopez of Dodge City, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to be made to Wolfwood Refuge and left in care of Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home, 528 North Main Street, Hutchinson, Kansas 67501.
