Lurline Charity Duskin, 100, of Hutchinson, Kansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior, April 8, 2020, at Thorne Care Center, Hutchinson, Kansas.  The daughter of Franklin and Clara Finley, she was born on October 22, 1919 in Faribault, Minnesota.

She served her Lord and Savior as a minister of the people for the Salvation Army for over 40 years, along side of her husband, Charles.  Throughout her 40 years of ministry, she accepted 21 different ministry appointments in 6 different states.  She and Charles enjoyed traveling and spreading the Good news where ever their trips took them.  Family trips and vacations were of the utmost importance to Lurline.  She loved to take quiet time and read.  She was known for touching countless family members, friends, and church family with cards of inspiration.

On April 19, 1945, she married Charles Duskin in Faribault, Minnesota.  After 67 years of marriage and ministry he preceded her in death in June 2015.

Surviving family members include: 2 sons, Paul ( Mary) and DeWayne ( Pam) Duskin; 1 daughter, Miriam ( Kevin) Cartwright; 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents,; 9 brothers and sisters; 1 grandson, Jacques.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date in Holland, Michigan.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Retired Officers Income Trust which is used to fund special projects in support and encouragement of Salvation Army Retired Officers in supported territories which in the past has included Christmas gifts for these retired officers.
