Luteaner "Tina" Young Tardy, 81, went home to be with her Lord and Savior May 7, 2015 at Asbury Park Nursing Home, Newton, Kansas. She was born May 17, 1933 in Gould, Arkansas, the daughter of James and Luella Young. She was a nurse in her professional career.

A member and a prayer warrior of the Faith Temple Church of God and Christ in Newton, and also McGee Chapel of God and Christ in Hutchinson, she was also a volunteer for RSVP, loved quilting, loved all children.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Shirley Lynn Tardy-Saunders, Mammie Tardy, and, Sheila (Weber) Gamblain; 5 brothers, Robert G. (Ruthie), Young, David (Jewel) Young, Bernard Young, Isaiah Young, Jerry (Delores) Young; 1 sister, Alfreda (P.J.) Tolbert; 3 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles, 2 brothers, James and Richard Young, and, 2 aunts, Flossie Howell and Lucy Brown.

A celebratory gathering will be held Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Old Mission - Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. A celebration of life will take place Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, Kansas.
