Obituary

Manford Leon Koehn, 85, passed away November 14, 2023, in Hutchinson, Kansas. He was born April 19, 1938 in Canton, KS, to Alfred and Elma (Giesel) Koehn.
Manford is survived by his son, Chad (Tonya) Koehn of Emporia, KS, daughter, Laura Walker of Hutchinson, KS, brother, Ronald (Shirley) Koehn of Tribune, KS, sisters, Louise (Lavern) Wedel of Okolona, MS, Carol Koehn of Clayton, NM, 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Manford was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce J (Ratzlaff) Koehn, his parents, Elma and Alfred, brother, LeRoy Koehn, and brother-in-law, Gary Koehn. Manford married Joyce, the love of his life, November 21, 1959, and cherished the years they had together.
Manford farmed and ranched most of his life, and was a proud Army Veteran. He accepted Jesus as his Savior in 1982 and became an ordained minister in the 90's. Manford spent 25 years serving as a minister to those incarcerated and continued to help them after release.
When asked how he was, he would respond with "If I was any better there'd have to be two of me." Manford was always happy and uplifting; he loved people and loved life.
