Obituary

Margaret Mae Stropes, 85, passed away July 20, 2013 at Hospice House of
Reno County, Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born April 11, 1928, in Kansas City,
Missouri, the daughter of Earl Martin and Emma Beatrice Sieggen.
A graduate of East High School in Kansas City, she was a devoted homemaker.
A founding member of the Northminster Presbyterian Church in Hutchinson, she
was an avid reader of Agatha Christie books, loved opera, crochet, and tackling
puzzle books.
On July 21, 1946 she married Kenneth Dale Stropes in Olathe, Kansas. He
survives. She is also survived by 2 sons, Kurt (Jo) of Hutchinson, Ks, Paul
(Diane) of Wichita, Ks; 3 daughters, Melanie Stropes, Christina Strieker, both of
Hutchinson, Jeanette Lazarus of Marietta, Ca;, 2 sisters, Anna Deselm (Jack) of
Lebanon, Mo, Sally Jennings (Jim) of Berona, Wise.; 19 grandchildren, and 27
great grand children. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sons, and, 2
brothers.
Public visitation will be Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at
Old Mission - Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Ks. Memorial
Celebration will at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Tom Robson presiding.
Interment will follow at Eastside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests
memorial gifts be made to New Covenant Presbyterian Church Choir Fund.
