Marie Elizabeth Romans, 75, passed away surrounded by her loving family on April 23, 2019 at Buhler Sunshine Meadows Nursing Home in Buhler, Kansas. She was born in Hooker, Oklahoma on May 31, 1943, the daughter of Leonard and Emily Irene Garvin. She was a retired housekeeper for Wesley Towers.

She was a member of The Father's House Church in Hutchinson, Kansas. She loved music and loved to dance. She was known as the social butterfly of the family and had the ability to make friends and family smile at the drop of a hat. Her main focus was serving and loving her Lord Jesus Christ.

She married James A. Romans on January 1, 2005 in Hutchinson, Kansas. He survives of the home.Other survivors include 2 daughters, Elizabeth M. Narron and Terisa Price; 2 sons, James (Susan) Shinkle and Scott (Robin) Colerick - Shinkle; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her step father, Jim Manis, 1 daughter, Anna Shinkle.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at The Fathers House Church, 1505 E. 20 ^th , Hutchinson, Kansas, with Bishop Quintin Moore presiding. Iurnment will take place at 1:30 p.m. at Wildmead Cemetery, Nickerson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Fathers House Church.
