Obituary

Marjorie Ruth (Noffsinger) Jackson passed away on October 26, 2014. She was born in Osborne, Kansas on June 23, 1922 to Lyle and Ruth Noffsinger.

She graduated from Osborne High School in Osborne Kansas and Salt City Business College in Hutchinson, Kansas.

She married Norman Jackson in Pratt, Kansas on January 11, 1942, he proceeded her in death in 2006.

She is survived by a son Larry Jackson of Topeka, two grandchildren Jamie Jackson of Wichita and Jerianne Wheaton of Independence, MO and a great granddaughter Brooke Weber of Wichita. She is survived by a brother Wayne Noffsinger, a sister Lyla Legg, and a brother Clifford Noffsinger.

He is also proceeded in death by a brother Clyde Noffsinger, sisters Marietta Goering, and Dorothy Detwilier.

She worked for Coca Cola, Nash-Finch Construction, Wileys Department Store, Pegues Department Store and 1st Federal Savings and Loan.
She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, Altrusa Business Womens Association, and an active volunteer for many organizations in Hutchinson.

Public visitation will be Thursday, October 30, 2014, from 4 to 8 pm., at Old Mission - Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main St., Hutchinson. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday , October 31, 2014 at First United Methodist Church, 101 E. 1st Ave, Hutchinson. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Memorials can be made to Altrusa UMC Scholarship and left in care of Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home.
