Obituary

Marlin Gerald "Jerry" Gossman passed away March 31, 2024, in Hutchinson, Kansas, at the age of 76. He was born August 26, 1947, to Marlin Victor Gossman and Bertha Lilly Gossman in Stafford, Kansas.


Marlin was preceded in death by his parents, Marlin and Bertha, his loving wife Nancy of nearly 43 years, brothers, Don Paxman, Jim Gossman, and sister Ellen Ann Cranmer.


Marlin is survived by his son, Rick Gossman of Hutchinson, sister Jewette Raymond of Wellington, KS, brothers, Stephan Gossman of Hutchinson, David Gossman of Alabama, Daniel Gossman of Oxford, KS, Ben Gossman of Wellington, KS, grandchildren, Alexander Gossman, Jessica Clancy, and Rikki Gossman, and numerous nieces and nephews.


Marlin Gerald, known as "Jerry" to family and friends, married his childhood sweetheart and love of his life Nancy, in October of 1972. The two were blessed with a son, Rick. Jerry's family was his pride and joy! Aside from spending time with family, he was a hard worker, and retired from the City of Hutchinson as a mechanic of 27 years. Jerry was a talented craftsman, with much of his work displayed throughout his home. He had an amazing smile and a heart of gold! Jerry will be dearly missed by all. He is resting peacefully in Jehovah's Memory.


A visitation will be held Thursday, April 4th, from 3-7pm at Old Mission Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N Main. A graveside service will be held Friday, April 5th at 11:00am, at Fairlawn Burial Park.
