Martha Ann Tolbert, 74, her sunset was on July 18, 2020 in Hutchinson, Kansas.  Her sunrise came on April 14, 1946 in Stuttgart, Arkansas, the daughter of William Nowden and Ocie Butler.  She was a long time kitchen manager at Furr's Cafeteria and retired as an employee from USD #308 where she worked as a cook.

She loved to play bingo, and was an avid outdoors person, she loved to fish.  Her family knew her as a master cook - they never went away from the table not being well fed.  She was a graduate from Holman high School in Stuttgart, Arkansas where she was also a majorette.  She enjoyed dancing with her family.  She was a lifelong member of Second Missionary Baptist Church where she enjoyed praising and worshipping her Lord.

Survivors include:  1 son, Martin Tolbert; 2 daughters, Tan Tolbert and Neako Tolbert; her former husband, Luther Tolbert; 4 sisters, Wilma Wilson, Wanda

Robinson, Glendene Seaman, Carolyn Carter; 3 brothers, Larry, Mack Henry, and Michael Carter; 6 grandchildren, Jerimiah Tolbert, Jazzmyn Tolbert, Martin Tobert II, Ja'Kell Tolbert, Malieque Tolbert, Luther Tolbert; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, James, Theodore, Clyde, and Nathaniel Butler, 2 sisters, Ruth Ann Mullins and her twin sister, Mary Butler Holt.

Please come pay your respects for Martha from July 30, 2020 through July 31, 2020 between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.   A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Second Missionary Baptist Church, Hutchinson, Kansas.  Entombment will follow at Eastside Cemetery Mausoleum, Hutchinson, Kansas.  The repass will be held at the church following the cemetery service.

Masks will be required of all attendees and 6 foot social distancing guidelines must be adhered to.
