Mary Elizabeth Heller, 60, passed away August 10, 2015 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, Kansas. The daughter of William and Frances Quirk, she was born September 11, 1954 in Parsons, Kansas.

A 1973 graduate of LaBette High School, she attended Hutchinson Community College where she studied nursing. She loved to crochet, enjoyed collecting knick knacks, listening to country, classic rock and gospel music. She also attended Riverside Baptist Church.

On June 28, 1977 she married Michael Duane Heller in Emporia, Kansas. He survives. Other survivors include 2 sons, Douglas (Kimberly) Heller of Colby, Kansas, Richard Heller II of Hutchinson, Kansas; 1 daughter, Jessica Heller of Hutchinson, Kansas; 1 brother, William R. (Susan) Quirk, Jr. of Livingston, Texas; 3 sisters, Barbara Ann Quirk of Lansing, Michigan, Martha Jane (Robert) DeYoung of Hobbs, New Mexico, Theresa Joan Swayze of Olathe, Kansas; 23 grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, William and Frances Quirk, 1 sister Jeannette Marie Quirk, and 1 grand daughter, Destenie Olivia Marie Heller.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Zion Lutheran Church, 11th and Washington, Hutchinson, Kansas. A pot luck lunch for family and friends will take place immediately after the celebration - please contact family if you are going to attend and what you would like to bring! In lieu of flowers the family has established a memorial fund and gifts may be made out to the Mary Elizabeth Heller Family Memorial Fund and gifts may be left with the family.
