Mary D. Mumford, 67, passed away at her home in Hutchinson, Kansas on February 1, 2016. The daughter of Earl and Alvina Britain, she was born in Hutchinson on March 19, 1948. She was a devoted homemaker to her family.

She loved spending time in the outdoors fishing, and, enjoyed crocheting. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her life.

She married Michael Mumford in 1982 in Hutchinson. He preceded her in death in 1998.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Tracy Dyer (Jeff); 2 sons, 1 brother, Ronny Britain; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and her companion, Duffy Mason. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 sisters.

A time of remembrance will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 pm, Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Old Mission - Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established and gifts may be made to the Reno County Animal Shelter.
