Maureen Ann Dowsey, 53, lost her courageous battle to Mullerian cancer on January 8, 2021, at home surrounded by her family.

Maureen was born on February 21, 1967. Born and raised in Hutchinson, KS. She attended Hutchinson High School, then later transferred to Buhler High School and graduated in '85. Following she graduated from Friends University with a Bachelors degree. She married Chris Dowsey on August 8, 2009.

Maureen is survived by sisters Colleen Bishop, Stefani Kelly, and Crystal Magyar, son Taylor Wilson, daughters Brandi Phillips and Madison Dowsey, Tim Dowsey family, Tiffany DeBerry family, and 7 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, Wayne Bishop and Barbra Kelly.

Maureen always had impeccable work ethic. She worked at Cargill salt for the last 14 years. She had an overwhelming love for animals as she owned and operated Mo's Miniature schnauzers for over the last 15 years.

Maureen truly lived life to the fullest through her activities. She was an instructor at Genesis teaching blast, power, core, and spin class. She enjoyed participating in marathons, triathlons, and Bike Across Kansas. Mo was an inspiration to others and amiable with everyone she came across.

The family will have a celebration of life, date to be determined at a later time. It will be open to all family and friends.
