Melvin Lee Blanton, 61, passed away October 6, 2023 in Hutchinson, KS. He was born September 29, 1962, to Franklin and Betty Blanton in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Melvin is preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Janet Robb and Wanda Barrett.
He is survived by his son, Daniel Blanton, brothers, Marvin (his twin) Blanton, Phillip (Eva) Blanton, Gary Blanton, sisters, Katie (Mike) Culver, and Gloria Miller.
Melvin was a hardworking man, spending years in landscaping, masonry, and served as a jack of all trades. He lived in Vancouver for some time before returning to Hutchinson, but always considered the mountains home. Melvin always loved the outdoors, with his work in landscaping, or fishing and camping. He had a passion for classic cars and was a genuine family man. He will be greatly missed.
