Obituary

Michael Dale Hardesty, 63, of Hutchinson, passed away March 8, 2011, at the Hospice House. He was born October 12, 1947, in Wichita, KS, the son of Robert and Avonelle Hardesty.
He married his high school sweetheart and bride of 43 years, Ris« M. Snyder, on April 7, 1967. He was a member of the United States Army 557th Artillery Group, 96th Ordinance Company stationed in Herborn-Seelbach, Germany.
He worked several years as an aircraft mechanic in Houston, TX and Wells Aircraft, Hutchinson. He was employed as an electrician for Dillon''s for 24 years before starting his own electrical and security alarm company, Hardesty Enterprises, in 2000.
He was an avid pilot and scuba diver. He is survived by his wife, Ris«; daughter Kathleen Effan and husband Marc Effan of O''Fallon, IL; son Daniel Hardesty and wife Sarah Hardesty of Hutchinson; son Bryan Hardesty of Hutchinson; three grandchildren, Alyssa, Thomas, and William Effan of O''Fallon, IL, and older brother Robert Kent Hardesty of Webb City, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents and his younger sister, Jan Lowen, of Hutchinson.
Visitation will be Sunday 1pm - 5pm at Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, Hutchinson. Funeral service will be Monday March 14 at 1 p.m. at Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eldon Smith presiding. Memorials may be made to the Mike Hardesty Memorial Fund, First National Bank of Hutchinson.
