Mike Renollet, age 57, fled to higher ground on March 1, 2018. According to Mike, your ticket is punched the day you are born. Mike knew that life is the journey, not the destination.
He was a hunter, fisherman, gardener, and mason by trade. Now that Mike has moved on, many local landowners can expect to see an increase of bass stock in their ponds and a few more deer roaming their shelterbelts.
Mike leaves behind his wife of 20 years, Cindy Renollet; his 5 children: Gregg Pitchford, Jami Bush (David), Mark Pitchford, Jodi Ryan (Jake), & Cale Renollet (Charlotte); & 7.5 grandchildren: Alicia (19), Mariea (19), Dayton (18), Kraven (9), Corbin (6), Annabelle (5), Harley (4) & a new grandbaby on the way. He also leaves behind his father, Rod Renollet and siblings Kim Hendrickson (Bill), Rich Renollet (Annmarie), and Mary Norris (Jack). He is now reunited with his mother, Betty (White) Renollet and his son, Clayton Renollet.
A funeral service will be led by Pastor Jack Norris at New Hope Baptist Church in Hutchinson, KS on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 10:30am. A family dinner will follow the service with the internment at Sterling Cemetery that afternoon. Friends & family are asked to dress in Mike's favorite colors: camo, NASCAR (No. 3 if you know what's good for you), Royals or whatever you feel most comfortable in. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to
