Michael G. Truitt, 60, passed away November 7, 2013 at Hutchinson Regional
Medical Center. He was born April 25, 1953 in Hutchinson, Kansas, the son of
Verle and Dorothy Truitt.
A graduate of Nickerson High School in 1971, he served as a construction
worker for West Coast Precast in Venice, Florida before returning home to
Hutchinson five years ago. For the past five years he has been a volunteer for
the Reno County Food Bank. He enjoyed reading Steven King novels and
tinkering on old cars.
He is survived by 3 brothers, 1 step-brother, step-father and step-mother, several
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and, a
step-sister.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The family has established a memorial fund to the Reno County Food Bank and
may be left in care of Old Mission - Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main,
Hutchinson, KS. 67501
