Michelle Diane Thomas, 52, passed away May 4, 2013 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born January 30, 1961, the daughter of Johnny and Patricia Ann Rice.

A graduate of Garden City High School, she was employed by Fraese Drug Company for the past three years. An avid reader, she also enjoyed playing electronic games, making friends, laughing and spending time with her family. A member of Friends Church, she will be missed by many.

On June 2, 1984, she married Terry Thomas in Hutchinson. He survives. Other survivors include her parents, a daughter Taryn, Manhattan, Kansas; a son, Patrick, Hutchinson, Kansas; one brother, Perry Rice of Hutchinson, Kansas, and one sister, Stacey Bilson (John) of Augusta, Kansas.

Memorial celebration will be Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Friends Church, 1200 E. 14th, Hutchinson, Kansas, Pastor Gary Getting presiding. Burial will take place at Spring Grove Cemetery in Anthony, Kansas. Public visitation will be Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial gifts be given to the Friends Church Mission Trip Fund and may be left in care of the funeral home.
