Nancy A. Tremblay, 65, passed away on March 10, 2018 at Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born January 4, 1953 in Utica, New York, the daughter of Donald and Mary Kane.
Nancy was a lifelong crafter who loved sewing and designing Christmas decor and ornaments. One of her greatest joys was hand making Christmas stockings for each of her children and grandchildren. These are the heirlooms that will be cherished by her family. Nancy's sewing skills and crafting talents did not go unnoticed by publishing companies either. One of her many life accomplishments was having a series of three pattern books published with her unique designs.
Nancy moved to Kansas in 2010 to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Prior to moving to the Midwest, Nancy worked at Sunmont Developmental Center in Tupper Lake, New York for over 20 years in their dietary department.
She is survived by three daughters; Melanie Price, Margaret Tremblay and Nancy Lynn Kanavy, one son; Martin Tremblay, four grandsons; Stephen LaFave, Avery Castillo, Damien Tremblay and Gabriel Tremblay, one granddaughter; Alisha LaFave, one sister; Linda Radlo and five brothers; Raymond Kane, Donald Kane, Eugene Kane, Patrick Kane and Shawn Kane. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Per her request, cremation has taken place. A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Hospice House of Reno County.
In loving memory of Nancy A. Tremblay
January 4, 1953 - March 10, 2018
I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways.
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun;
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
