Navolia Ann Tolbert, 97, went home to be with Jesus October 17, 2017 at Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson, Kansas. The daughter of George W. and Lunna B. Tennyson Crawford, she was born in Depew, Oklahoma September 9, 1920. She retired as a cook for the Hutchinson School District.
She loved to sew, play the piano, and, cook for family and friends. She was a member of McGee Chapel Foundation of Life Ministries. Her family and church served as the main focus in her life.
On December 20, 1943, she married Harry Leonard Tolbert. He preceded her in death in January 14, 1975.
Survivors include 2 sons Orville and Albert Tolbert; 2 daughters, Elizabeth Douglas, and, Lander Tolbert - Crawford; 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and, 9 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 7 brothers and 3 sisters.
A gathering for family and friends will be held Monday, October 23, 2017 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm with the family present from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Old Mission - Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas. A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 1:00 pm at McGee Chapel - Foundation of Life Ministries, 134 E. Sherman Street, Hutchinson with Pastor Melvin Watson, presiding. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that memorial gifts be made to the church and left in care of the funeral home.
