Obituary

Nellie Manuela Garcia, 99, was born to Luis C. and Bibiana ( Velasquez ) Garciaon May 5, 1917, in Lamar, Colorado. Shepassed away on June 11, 2016, in Hutchinson , Kansas. She was a retired cook for St. Elizabeth Hospital and a lifetime member of the V.F.W.
Nellie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Angel; a son, Johnnie T. Garcia Sr., two daughters Theresa Mireliez and Evalina Garcia and eight brothers. Survivors: her children, Angel Garcia Sr.,Angelina ( Jerry ) Agoitia, Molly ( Randy ) Carter, Eulalia Luna, Mercedes Corne, Lydia ( Bevo ) Saiz, Christine ( Alberto ) Montes; a daughter-in-law, Frances Garcia; two brothers, Trunkalino ( Linda ) Vieyra and Daniel ( Sara ) Vieyra; 37 grand-children, 66 great grand-children and several great-great-grandchildren.
Rosary is scheduled for 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe with Mass at 10:30 on Wedesday, June 15, 2016. Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery. Memorials in her memory are to Our Lady of Guadalupe or Hospice and Homecare of Reno County. Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements
