Neva Jo Vinson, 86, passed away Sept. 23, 2011, at Dillon Living Center. She was born May 20, 1925, in Headrick, Okla., the daughter of Jeff and Vivion Luttrell Warren.
On June 14, 1944, she married John O. Vinson in Altus, Okla. He passed away Oct. 28, 2009. She had been a resident of Hutchinson since 1970, moving from Amarillo, Texas. She was a member of Eastwood Church of Christ. Survivors include: son, Gerald (Jerry) and wife Susan of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Jill Hornbaker and husband Brandon, and Joel Vinson, all of Wichita; siblings, Bill Warren, Mattie Ward, Virginia Nicholson, Barbara Short and Sylvia Rose, all of Texas. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Marie Vinson, and a brother, J.C. Warren.
Graveside service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Fairlawn Burial Park, with Jimie-Wray Mead presiding. Memorials to Eastwood Church of Christ or Hospice Care of Kansas, and can be sent to Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home, Hutchinson.
