IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nicole Astrid
Lillith Flynn
January 19, 1993 – October 17, 2020
On 10/17/2020 Nicole Astrid Lillith Flynn, 27 ( They, Them, Their). of Stafford, Kansas, passed away October 17, 2020 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas at 3:15 p.m. They are survived by parents Donna and Billy Powell and Clint and Stacey Flynn, siblings Brandon R. Flynn, Tanner L. Powell, Dylan T. Jones, Damien M. Jones, Adam Fox, Ashley Kilpatrick, Amanda Kruger, Margaret A. Oneal, Anita P. Jordan, Grandparents Garen and Rhonda Imel and Richard Flynn, multiple nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncles. Nichole was preceded in death by their doting grandparents, GiGi, KittyCat Grandma, MeMaw, and Nanny and PaPa.
Nicole had a lust for learning and had hoped to one day bring forth true change through teaching as a professor. This was only solidified through the many accomplishments and accolades they received in their short time here on earth. Nicole had already received a Bachelor of General Studies from The University of Kansas in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, with a minor in Film, a degree of Master of Arts English from Southern New Hampshire University, and had just been accepted at Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts to begin the journey towards their Master in Arts in Gender/Cultural Studies. Nichole also received the opportunity to study abroad at Swansea University in Swansea Wales for 6 months. Nicole was a passionate advocate, activist, and writer who used their voice and talents to bring forth change to all who suffered from inequality no matter the personal cost. Nicole supported many organizations and movements which included BLM, RAICES, Planned Parenthood, PFLAG, and a multitude of others. In Nichole's spare time they found true enjoyment from musicals, Doctor Who, and their two furbabies Noble and Gabby. They were known to be fierce in their loyalty, unyielding in their beliefs, and a true force to be reckoned with when it came to those they fought for. Nichole, even in death, brought forth life to those who were most in need through their gift of life organ donations. Nichole was stubborn, opinionated, and passionate and this world is far less bright without them in it. In closing we leave you with the words that Nichole lived by..."No day but today". Rest in peace our fierce warrior and tell the Notorious RBG we said hello.
A celebration of life is planned for October 30, 2020 at Rice Park from 4-9 p.m. in Hutchinson, Kansas. The family will be providing dinner and non alcoholic beverages. All are welcome to attend.
