Obituary

Norma Jean (Montgomery) Kinyon, 80, passed away June 9, 2018 at Diversicare Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hutchinson, Kansas. The daughter of Henry Glen and Erma Estella (Hatfield) Montgomery, she was born on September 19, 1937 in Jewell County, Kansas.
A graduate of Hutchinson Community College and a recipient of a Bachelor's Degree from Friends University, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kingman, Kansas, was an artisan of sewing and crafts. She loved to sing and play the guitar. Raising her family and being a homemaker for them was most important to her.
She is survived by 3 sons, Michael (Holly) Kinyon of Peoria, Arizona, Kenneth Kinyon of Wichita, Kansas, Jerry (Sally) Kinyon of Hutchinson, Kansas; 1 daughter, Marcia Kinyon of Hutchinson, Kansas; 1 sister, Zenetta (Earl) Schenck of Central City, Nebraska; 3 sisters in law, Carolyn Montgomery of Emporia, Kansas, Beverly Montgomery of Laramie, Wyoming, Joyce Montgomery of Omaha, Nebraska; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers, Dick Montgomery, Milton Montgomery, and Clyde Montgomery.
Graveside service will be held Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Mankato, Kansas with Chaplain Luke Helmuth presiding.
