Opalea " Opal" ( Lirley ) Cyr, 94, was born July 10, 1927, in Edna, Kansas to Ramie and Lizzy Lirley, number 9 of 10 children.  She passed away on Febraury 25, 2022 in Clearwater, Kansas.

Opalea graduated from McClave High School, McClave, Colorado, in 1946.  She was employed at the McClave State Bank in McClave, and First National Bank in Wichita, Kansas.  Opal was married in 1954 to Mervin Cyr.  she was a member of the Eastwood Church of Christ in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Opal is survived by her husband, Mervin; sister, Pat; 1 child, Roger Cyr of Clearwater; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Connie Bierly; brothers, Paul, Clyde, Allen, and Ray; sisters, Lucille, Ruby, Hazel, and Alice.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Eastwood Church of Christ, 2500 N. Plum St., Hutchinson, Kansas at 11:00 a.m. with a private family burial to follow at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd., Hutchinson, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Eastwood Church of Christ in her honor.
