Orlando D. Floyd, 60, passed away August 10, 2011 at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. He was born in Stuttgart, Arkansas on August 7, 1951 to Daniel and Rosie Floyd. He attended the Community Activity Center, Stuttgart, Arkansas where he grew up. He later relocated to Hutchinson, Kansas where he became a member of Second Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. W.C. Tillman.
Orlando loved to play the harmonica and was the "Life" of the many family gatherings for years. He loved music and had an album collection that dated back to the 60''s. He was a very generous person and you could always depend on him to be there for you when the chips were down.
Orlando is preceded in death by his beloved Parents, Daniel and Rosie Floyd; brother William Floyd and sister Avis L Floyd.
He leaves to cherish his memories: sister, Earlean Wright of Pine Bluff, Ark, Florine Iverson, and Erma Harris (John) both of Hutchinson, KS and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Services will be Monday, August 22nd at 11am at Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Michael Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson.
