Pauli Ann Stewart, 68, of Hutchinson, passed away October 24, 2019, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, Kansas.  She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 6, 1951, the daughter of Joseph and Alexandria Boncek.  She was a retired secretary for Kent State University.

She was a member of the graduating 1969 class of Stow Ohio High School in Stow, Ohio.  She also attended the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio.  She was a master at knitting and crochet work - making hats and boots for babies.   She loved early rock and roll music from the 60's, 70's, and 80's.   Taking care of her family was the most important part of her life.

She was diagnosed in 2014 with stage 4 cervical cancer that spread to her bladder and lymph nodes.  In 2018, she was again diagnosed with cancer in her lymph nodes, spreading to her lungs and spine.  However, even in her illness fight, she continued to smile and put her family and friends first.

In 2004, Pauli and her family moved to Kansas.  She worked as a CNA, working in several nursing homes and Hutchinson Hospital in the admissions department.  She also served as a Para-professional for the Educational Coop # 610 serving the Buhler School District.

Survivors include: 1 son, James ( Chip) D. Stewart; 2 brothers, Joseph ( Sherry ) Boncek and James ( Annette) Boncek;  numerous nieces and nephews, and great- nieces and nephews.  She was preceded by her parents, 1 nephew, Andrew Boncek, aunts and uncles, her constant companions, 4 dogs and 3 cats.

Per her request, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life for Pauli Ann will be held at a later date.
