With much sadness we are faced with the loss of Randy. He was born in Salina Kansas on September 13,
1960, and died on November 26, 2022, in Wichita Kansas. He was a father, a grandfather, a son,
brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. A kind and giving person who would help anyone, a truly beautiful
soul. We will always feel the loss.
With solace, we recognize that there is no more pain. There will be no suffering, and God has called him
home. We know he was greeted by loved ones, and we hope we can live our lives that we may join him
someday.
Randy loved his family and was loved by them in return. He was proud of his granddaughters, and his
grandson who recently graduated high school. He also shared a special bond with his dogs Charlie and
Diesel, who both miss him very much.
He had a great passion for cars and motorcycles. With that said he did not go for the popular, or
favorite ride, he chose a 1958, Edsel Pacer. Randy won many awards and trophies with his Edsel, as well
as his Indian Scout motorcycle.
Randy is survived by his father Ernest Berndt, his sisters Amy Robertson, Diana Butinski (husband
Robert) and Sarah Walker, stepsisters Denise Harris and Pam Rontti (husband Steve), stepbrothers Kevin
Sprow, Barry Sprow, and Robert Griffith, daughters Radonda Brockhaus, Diana Berndt, Mary Campbell
(husband Matt), sons Jacob and Jericho, granddaughters Abbey, Kristi, Savannah, Madelynn, and
grandsons Robert, Samuel, and Benjamin, as well as numerous Aunts, cousins, and many friends.
A celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Memorials or donations may be made in Randy's
name to the Kansas Humane Society in Wichita, or the Salina Animal Shelter.
