Rhea Mae Brawner, 83, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 28th, 2011 at Hospice House of Hutchinson, KS. She was born Oct. 29, 1927, to Phillip and Clara DeWater in Waterloo, IA. On April 28, 1947, she married Wayne Ellis Brawner, of Reed Springs Junction, MO. He passed away Dec. 25th, 1972. Rhea was also preceded in death by her parents and her 13 siblings. Survivors include; daughters, Roberta Belote and Sandra Gonzalez of Hutchinson; son, Wayne Brawner of Hutchinson; daughter, Gayle Davenport of Norman, OK; son, Craig Brawner of Hutchinson; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to Hospice Care of Reno County and may be sent to Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Hutchinson.
