Richard L. Bookout, 68, of Hutchinson, passed away February 7, 2022 at Mennonite Friendship Communities, South Hutchinson. He was born January 31, 1954 in Atchinson, KS to Lola Douglas and Paul Bookout. Richard was well known for tearing up the "drag strip" and going to car shows. He was married to Darlene Lemler on September 7, 1973, who preceded him in death. Richards survivors include, daughter, RaChelle Rush; daughter in law, Jennifer Bookout; grandchildren and many friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lola; wife, Darlene and son, Brian Bookout. Memorials may be made to the Richard Bookout Grandchildren fund, left in care of Old Mission Heritage Funeral Home.
