Richard Lee Danford, 80, passed away in Hutchinson, Kansas, on June 18, 2022.  He was born on April 19, 1942, in Hutchinson, Kansas, to Earl Lewis Danford and Delma Louise ( Culbertson) Danford.  Richard enjoyed attending church and listening to the music, he also enjoyed watching westerns on the television and being on the computer.  He loved going out to eat at IHOP and spending time with the kids.

Richard is survived by his wife, Joan Danford, of 27 years; sister, Delores Martin; step-son, Shannon Kappel; grandson, Dustin Danford, of Manhattan, Kansas; nephews, Ricky and Travis Barragan, and numerous family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Danford; sister, Linda Barragan; step-daughter, Corrina Buck; and step-son, John Kappel.

A celebration of life service will be held on July 1, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at Full Gospel Church, 414 East G. avenue, Hutchinson, Kansas, burial with military honors following at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd., Hutchinson, Kansas
