Richard Pearl McReynolds, Jr., 61, of Cunningham, Kansas, passed away October 5, 2020 in Partridge, Kansas. The son of Richard Pearl McReynolds, Sr., and Edith Marie Skellenger McReynolds, he was born May 28, 1959 in Hutchinson, Kansas.
He was a graduate of Pretty Prairie High School and earned his degree in theology. A dirt track racing enthusiast, and also loved spending time with his grandchildren, turkeys, chickens, and guineas. He had been a member of the Pretty Prairie Fire Department and a member of the Pretty Prairie Booster Club. He took time to bow hunt, but, spent most of the time in the tree stand taking in the quiet of nature. To his family, Rick had a heart of gold and they knew him as " Mr. Fix-It" , he always seemed to have projects to tackle.
In November 1984, he married Rebecca Kelley. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include: his mother, Edith; 5 children, Joshua A. ( Bonnie) McReynolds, and their children, Reagan, Kennedy, Levi; Joshua J. (Jenny) Sikes, and their children Zoey, Owen, and Nathanael; Maggie McReynolds and her children, Jacob, Christina, Aden, Gabe; the Late Gwenavere McReynolds, and her son, Tristen; Milissa ( Heath) Steffen and their children, Brooklynn and Emberlynn; his brothers and sisters, Andy ( Laura) McReynolds; Corrine Isaacks; George ( Debbie) McReynolds; Jeff ( Stephanie) McReynolds; Pat ( Belinda) McReynolds; Wilma McReynolds; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, and a daughter, Gwenavere.
Friends may sign the book from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 9, 2020 at Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home, 528 North Main Street, Hutchinson, Kansas. A graveside celebration of life will take place Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at Lerado Cemetery, 4277 NW 70th Avenue, Cunningham. Kansas.
