Richard Lee Mooney passed away April 9, 2011 at Hospice House, Hutchinson, Kansas at the age of 64. He was born in Hutchinson to Charlie H. and Dolly May (Parker) Mooney on November 9, 1946.
Richard was a retired truck driver and a cook for Kentucky Fried Chicken. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Carl Nathan, Emma Frances, Donna May, Delores June, and Ellis Dwane.
Richard leaves to mourn his passing his former wife, Shari Wiedenfeld, of Hutchinson; daughter, Dolly May of Arizona; stepson, Lester P. Helm of Warsaw, MO, stepdaughters, Candy L. Helm of Washington State, and Angelica Hershberger of Hutchinson, KS; one brother, Delbert Mooney of Ford, KS; two sisters, Helen Jones of Hutchinson, KS, and Betty (Larry) Bergen of Colorado Springs, CO; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 4pm-8pm at Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 1pm at Fairlawn Cemetery.
