Rita Jean Stewart, 69, passed away December 13, 2015 at Mennonite Friendship Communities, South Hutchinson, Kansas. The daughter of Willard and Alice Stewart, she was born September 25, 1946 in Hutchinson, Kansas. She was retired from Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.

Known as the "Cookie Grandma" she was known for her high spirited sense of humor, was a phenomenal musician, and was always known to put others first before doing for herself. She was her family's #1 fan.

She is survived by 2 sons, Eddie (Dorthea) Wooten, Danny Wooten (Mona); 3 daughters, Denise Moataane (Janelle), Angela O''Gorman, Kelly Freeman; 1 brother, Larry (Anabelle) Stewart; 1 sister, Terri (John) Wheat; 14 grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Gary.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 11:00 am at Journey Mennonite Church, 808 S. Poplar, South Hutchinson, Kansas.
