Obituary

Robert Rush Kenney, 90, went to be with the Lord on July 12, 2013 at Hospice House of Reno County. He was born January 1, 1923 in El Dorado, Kansas the son of Paul and Clara Kenney. A veteran of the United States Army Air Force. He was a professional draftsman.

A graduate of Salina High School, he also attended Washburn University and Wichita State University. He was a member of the Creation Science Club, Wichita Camera Club, Wichita Audubon Society and a member of Berean Baptist Church.

He married Eunice Marie Hoover on May 28, 1988 in Newton, KS. She survives. Other survivors include 2 sons, Terry and Wayne; 1 step-daughter, Cynthia; 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 4 nephews, John, Fred, Alan and Dan and 3 nieces, Mary Lee, Rebecca and Susan. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters and 1 brother.

There will be no public visitation as cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Berean Baptist Church with Roger Neir and Ted Wenger presiding. Private family inurnment will take place at Bethel Cemetery in Abilene, Kansas. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Gospel for Asia, 1800 Golden Trail Court, Carrollton, Texas 75010, or may be left with the funeral home.
