Robert Vasquez's (84) passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Diversicare of Larned. He was born on November 2, 1938 (Geneseo, KS). Robert was a veteran serving our country in the Army Artillery in the 1950s.

A longtime resident of Great Bend, KS. Robert retired from Great Bend Manufacturing. Robert had a love for painting and creating beautiful things for those he loved. Robert never found an animal domesticated or wild that he didn't help, befriend, or raise. Robert took pride in loving all kinds of animals, especially cats and dogs. He was known as one of the biggest goofballs. Knowing Robert meant a guaranteed laugh.

Survivors include three children, one daughter, Regina Zarr, and two sons, Robert Vasquez Jr. and Timothy John Vasquez; one sister, one brother, and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family is hosting a Celebration of Life on July 20, 2023, from 6pm - 8pm, in the banquet room at the Holiday Inn located in Great Bend, Kansas.  3821 10th St, Great Bend, KS 67530

Robert requested in lieu of flowers to donate to a local animal rescue or a veteran's service in his memory.
