Rocky E. Yorgensen, 63, passed away at his home in Hutchinson, Kansas, June 19, 2017. The son of Ernest and LaVada Yorgensen, he was born June 29, 1953 in Halstead, Kansas. He was a retired forklift operator for American Packaging Corporation.

He was an avid collector of salt and pepper shakers, beer steins, and, swords. He was a member of the Fox Theatre support group, and loved traditional country music. His family was the most important thing to him.

He is survived by two brothers, Russell and Kim Yorgensen; 2 sisters, Geneen Ahrens and Sheila Sharp; 17 nieces and nephews, and, numerous, great and great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and, 2 sisters, DiAnn and Moreen.

A gathering for family and friends will be held Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Old Mission - Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers the family requests gifts be made to the Fox Theatre and left in care of the funeral home.
