Rogene Fern Floyd, 78, went home to be with Jesus on September 18, 2013 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born in Solo, Missouri on November 1, 1934, the daughter of Joseph and Sylvia Floyd.

She served as a nurse''s aid in her professional life. She loved doing puzzles, reading, listening to Christian music, and, taking care of the love of her life, her family and her cat.

She is survived by one son, John J. Gould of Hutchinson, Ks; 3 daughters, Cindy Gilbert, Jo Marie DeBerry and Vickie Hartman all of Hutchinson, Ks; 1 sister, Betty Philbrick of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 1 brother, John Floyd of Mansfield, Texas: 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, Roger Gould, 1 brother, and, 1 sister.

Public visitation will be Monday, September 23, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm with the family present from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Memorial celebration will be Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 10:30 am at Old Mission - Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Stokely presiding. Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts can be made to the Hutchinson Animal Shelter, Hutchinson Recreation Commission for Youth Programs, or, the Hutchinson Soup Kitchen and left in care of the funeral home.
