Ronald Floyd Larson, 80, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2020, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.  Ronald         "Ron" was born September 17, 1940, in Austin, Texas, to Wayland Emil Larson and Thelma Jacqueline Evans.  After the death of his father on October 20, 1940, his mother married Joe Lawrence Blaylock of Guntown, Mississippi, on December 25, 1941, and the family eventually settled in Muleshoe, Texas, where he lived with his parents and siblings until he graduated from Muleshoe High School in 1958.  After a few years in Austin, Texas, he eventually settled in Lubbock, Texas, where he lived until the death of his mother in 2012.  He then moved back to Muleshoe to live in his childhood home before moving for the last time to Hutchinson, Kansas in 2018 to be near his family.

Ron was a maintenance mechanic for Frito Lay in Lubbock, Texas, until he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.  He was a hard working man even after falling ill.  He didn't know the meaning of sitting still unless it was to sit and watch old movies or listen to his albums on his record player.  He was also an avid hobbyist who collected coins and loved anything to do with planes, trains, cars, and the Civil War.  Most of all, he was a devoted father and grandfather.

He is survived by: a sister, Jo Elaine Hart of Matador, Texas; 5 daughters, Alana Black of San Antonio, Texas, RoniSue Aust of Nevada, Iowa, Sundae Robbins of Hobbs, New Mexico, Rebecca Delgado and Rhonda Martin of Hutchinson, Kansas; 15 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hutchinson Animal Shelter, 1501 S. Severance Street, Hutchinson, Kansas 67501  in his honor.

Celebration of life for Ronald will be held at Eastside Cemetery at 1pm on Friday, December 11th, 2020.
