Hutchinson, Kansas - Russell Eckhoff, 81, passed away May 22, 2016 at Waldron Place, Hutchinson, Kansas. The son of Gerd and Lydia Eckhoff. He was born January 17, 1935 in Hustonia, Missouri. Russell retired from Master Machine Tools after 34 years of dedicated service.

Russell loved to go camping, fishing, play cards and pool. He spent hours in his workshop crafting woodworking projects for his family members.

On May 28, 1954 he married the love of his life, Goldie Crouse in Ottawa, Kansas. She survives.

Other survivors include 4 sons, Barry (Brenda), Mark, Ray, Rex (Kandace) Eckhoff, 3 daughters, Janne (Charlie) Burch, Loretta (Steve) Smith, Sheryl Herrington; 3 brothers, 5 sisters; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 son, William Lee Eckhoff.

A celebration of life for family and friends will be held Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Waldron Place, 1700 E. 23rd Avenue, Hutchinson, Kansas from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made and left in care of Waldron Place.
